Astute novel. A microcosm of contemporary America.

Is your book club reading Valley High, Mountain Low? I’ve put together an Official Reading Group Guide to help get the conversation going.
And this is definitely a book with plenty to talk about. 😆
The questions range from family fractures, technology and social media to grief, forgiveness, starting over, political division, and what it means to find our way home. There are questions about the characters and the choices they make, the role Colorado plays in the story, and the larger question running underneath it all: Can families find their way back to one another when they see the world very differently?
There are some lighter questions, too—including who you’d cast if Valley High, Mountain Low became a movie.
Whether your book club has already chosen the book or you’re considering it for an upcoming read, I hope these discussion questions lead to some thoughtful conversations, a few laughs, and maybe even a spirited disagreement or two.
